Downloading and Installing Microsoft Power BI Desktop
Power BI is a business analytics service by Microsoft. It provides interactive visualizations and business intelligence capabilities with an interface simple enough for end users to create their own reports and dashboards.
Power BI Desktop is free for users that can be directly downloaded from Microsoft offical website.
Steps to Download Power BI Desktop
First you need to Go to Microsoft offical page for downloading Power BI Desktop, here is the page linkย Microsfot Download Power BI Tools and apps .
There you will see a Microsoft Power BI Desktop, which gives you two options one is Download and second is Advance Downloadย Options.
You can click any of option. Here we go with Advance Download Options.
After clicking on Advance Download Options, It navigates you to Microsoft Power BI Desktop Page, there you can see Download button.
Also you can Details, System Requirements, and Install Instructions which lets you know about Power Bi Desktop version that you are going to install, It’s file size, and Published Date , Supported Os, and Installation Instructions that you can read.
Next, Click on Download Button.
Once you click on Download button, it asks you to choose file for download. Here we have selected PBIDesktopSetup_x64.exe.
Now Click on Next button.
Once you click on Next button,ย Now Power BI Desktop Setup files has been stated downloading.
Steps to Install Power Bi Desktop Setup
Now go to your folder where you have placed downloadedย Setup files.
Click on Power BI desktop Setup file, you can see a Setup dialog window opens.
Click on Next button.
After clicking on Next,ย Click on Next Button Again.
After that Accepts term and conditions and clik on Next Button.
After that, select destination folder to install Power BI, then click on Next button
After that, you are asked if you want to review or change for installation settings then click on Back button else click to Install button to start installation.
Click on Install button, as we do not want to review installation setting.
Once you click, you can see Power BI desktop installation has been started.
After completing all installation it asks you to click on Finish button with check on Launch Microsoft Power Bi Desktop to finsh the installation and close setup wizard window, and Launch Power Bi Desktop.
Now Power BI Desktop is installed successfully, and you can see it opens with default start page.
Close the start page to see the Power Bi desktop Screen. Here you can create Load data, transform data and Create reports using charts.
